My Plan

My Plan

Throughout life I have been told many things to push me forward and stay on track. My father always told me of never given up. I have stumbled in life well to many times but as a young High School senior I now understand now is the time. Some may look at my life and see bad behavior and trouble but they don't see the pain. They don't believe I could make it but that's my motivation to accomplish my goals in life. I felt very positive after President Obama gave his speech to students across the nation on Tuesday afternoon. It was really positive. I liked what he said about working hard and getting jobs. I feel people shouldn't want to live off the government, they should want to better themselves and be good Americans.

Although I was moved by the entire speech two quotes touched me directly. One of the two standout quotes were "There's no excuse for not trying". I fully agree with those six words. No matter the situation in life I must try to succeed. The second quote that stood out to me was "I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." If I don't succeed I pick myself up and try again. Nobody is perfect at everything and nobody will every be perfect at anything but there are people that are great at things they do. Hard work and dedication is what make a person succed in life.

Nothing comes easy but there's always a shot at success. After hearing this speech by Obama I am fully confident that dispite the rough paths my life has had I that I can make it down the road of sucess if I make the right decisions. It also pushed my goals to be positive around younger children and how to keep myself active. I thank you Obama and want you to know you reached the heart in me.
